About the role 

The Head of Service is an outstanding leader charged with inspiring, developing and empowering the customer success teams based in Berlin. The ideal candidate will ensure the lead and follow-up of all strategic technical projects for our prospects and customers in the area.

Your mission 

  • Lead a team of straightforward individuals, support ongoing team growth and team members career development including recruiting, training and mentoring.
  • Engage in strategic customer meetings to help deliver value and remove barriers to adoption.
  • Partner with Account Executives, Product Managers, Operations, R&D and other cross-functional teams to drive success and prioritize where Smart invests its resources.
  • Bring technical expertise and consultative selling during sales meetings with prospects and elaborate on the benefits of the Smart platform versus competitors. Conduct product presentations autonomously and with impact. Maintain and grow the relationships with a portfolio of strategic accounts, with a technical focus. Make clients aware of new features (tech upsell) and cross-sell opportunities through a constant competitive watch.
  • Liaise with your team members and other stakeholders to discuss and propose process and organization improvements.
  • Report on activity on customer success teams with comprehensive and advanced dashboards. Monitor client satisfaction at every step of their journey with Smart technology. Drive your team to achieve performance metrics and goals.
  • Identify competitive trends and develop Smart value proposition. Become a product and domain expert and turn into an active participant in industry forums and instances. Be a recognized speaker for Smart's technical offering beyond any specific client or deal.


About you  


  • Demonstrating a hands-on, high energy work ethic and championing a team player attitude
  • Demonstrated track record as a manager who implemented complex technology solutions.
  • Ability to provide well-focused strategic and tactical plan that results in measurable success and better-than-market performance
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills for large teams
  • Solid background in coordinating a variety of priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Change management guru
  • You hold a Master's degree in computer sciences or another technology discipline


  • Master Degree in a technical field
  • 5+ years’ experience of technology implementation or project management including 2+ years managing technical selling teams
  • Solid knowledge of AdTech solutions and industry
  • Problem-solver with an analytical approach
  • Ability to make complex decision
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Native German and fluent English
